The rip is literally on the far right side of the check, and hasn't ripped anything "important" such as any letters or numbers, the photo actually provides a very clear view of whats been ripped, everything else is completely in-tact.The photo does not really help. Are all the numbers and letters visible? Do you have the missing bit(s)? Do you have a branch that you can visit so they can advise you?
Only the bank can tell you with certainty, but it looks ok.The rip is literally on the far right side of the check, and hasn't ripped anything "important" such as any letters or numbers, the photo actually provides a very clear view of whats been ripped, everything else is completely in-tact.
I have branches near me, I just didn't want to take the time to go into one if its not going to be acceptable/low chance of it being accepted.
wow. great fact. totally useful information, thank you ever so much for your assistance in this endeavour. In the old days, you could technically write a cheque on anything. There were stories of a cheque being written on the side of a cow, and it being accepted. Not sure you'd get that to go into a machine these days.
I agree. If common sense prevailed like in the past.Ha, sorry, my point being if all the information is on there, there's no reason why they shouldn't accept it.
Not all banking apps do this but many do. Mine has a ‘pay in cheque’ option.WTFFFFF IS THIS SERIOUSSSSSSS
i gotta open my bank app to check this lmfao
Younger members of our society wouldn't even know what a cheques was let alone write oneI cant remeber the last time I accepted a cheque
My business bank did a better deal 15 years ago if we stopped taking chequesYounger members of our society wouldn't even know what a cheques was let alone write one![]()
Indeed you could write a cheque on anything, but up until 1971 cheques had stamp duty on them. So you would need to stick on a two penny stamp somewhere. In the old days, you could technically write a cheque on anything.
