Sportscity ... the breeding ground of Olympic Champions no less ... Heard of a lad called Jason Kenny? Matt Crampton? To name but a few who have passed through on their way to World Records and Championships ... they are always after people to sponsor, and yes I am biased, two of my brats ride for them as well you see ... if you want to know more, send me a pm and I will email you more details ...

David, I'm thinking your post needs a little more information.

I'm guessing between sponsoring someone in a 10k funrun and becoming the major sponsor for the 2012 olympics there's gonna be quite a few opportunities.

Tell us a little more about your thoughts and plans.
Why sports teams?
What types of sports/events?
What is you budget?
What are you into?
What is your key aim of sponsoring?
What are you looking to achieve though sponsorship?

To give people a bit more information on what I am looking for in a sponsorship opportunity:

I would like a sports team because I believe that it is a good way to appeal to a wide range of different people from a given area.

I am ideally looking for a local Surrey/Hampshire/West Sussex sports team which is looking for an investment of around £200 for a season or period of time. This is not a lot of money, but as I am in discussions with teams already, I will be offering business services also in exchange to help raise more money and popularity of sports team.

If this suits, please contact me.

Regards

David

why teams? We are looking for sponsors for our son who is aiming for the pro tennis circuit. Although he has success on the tournament circuit he needs to get higher on the ladder. Its cost us personally as companies only sponsor top 10 natinonally IN AGE GROUP(He's 35th) However he is top 2 in Wales(We are a nation arent we??). However we are in search of sponsors for potential. We've asked companies and it all revolves around teams not individuals.

I run 3 American football teams and a cheerleading squad in Canterbury. We have junior, youth and senior in both sports and all need support and funding.

I can't post links but google East Kent Mavericks and have a look.

In return we can offer players and cheerleaders to help with your own promotions as well as excellent media coverage.

All the best and well done for investing in UK sports.

David,

Im not sure whether this opportunity has gone yet as the original post was in october. However, our team is desperate for sponsors like yourself as we need kit to play in an up and coming international tournament in Costa Blanca, Spain.

The costa blanca cup is one of the largest amateur 11-a-side tournaments around and sponsorship would mean your business would get great exposure. The kit would also be used after the tour to play in our league games which take place weekly.

If interested it would be great if you could email me or reply on here

many thanks

Hello David

Interested in your offer, I am Chairman of a very vibrant and fast expanding Youth Football Club for both boys & girls. We currenmtly have 350 players and one of the reasons for our success over our 30 years as a club is we keep our fees to the minimum therefor making the club inclusive rather than exclusive!
We have over 20 teams and sponsorship of teams contributes towards the running costs and in particular kit which the club provides FOC.

We also run an annual tournament which involves 200 teams or more from South East England and 1500> players over 2 days 13th & 14th June and there amy be sponsorship opportunities there too?

For more details go to our website brockhambadgersfc.co.uk and click on B09 article.

Let me know if you need any further information

I am currently looking for help in my supermoto racing.
The British Supermoto Championships start 4th&5th April, all the championship rounds will be televised on sky/freeview with on going rider interviews and racing performance details.
I am entered into the Alice Racing Aprilia Challange and for fitness may do the clubmans as well. There are 13 rounds over the year period which range with venues in Kent/Sussex/Cambridgeshire/Yorkshire/Scotland/Cumbria/Northern Ireland.
I also race with Nora/Southern Supermoto which in turn cover some of these areas plus Wales.I am not a world rider but do compete to a good standard at club and British Level.
In return for some help i will advertise a logo on my van/bike Livery depending on what level of help is given, all sponsered help will be seen by hundreds if not thousands,on tele,on travelling around, plus entry booklets are always handed out to participating riders and spectators, that would be at all meetings British and club level except club level will not be televised.
I have NGK and Danger UK (graffics)on board with a small amount of help but i am really looking for a little more than a few spark plugs, although a little goes a long way.
Should this be of interest to you please contact me anytime and i will be pleased to discuss this further.

Manythanks

Danny French (British rider race number 112)

Ladies and Gentlemen,

My name is Michael Ieletzky and I live in Portland, OR.

I have just entered the professional bass fishing world as of 2008.
I have fished the WAL-MART FLW National Guard Western Division
Series, all 4 tournaments of the series. After all has been said and
done, I have finished 75th out of a field of over 225 professional bass
anglers.

I love to fish, it is in my blood, and I would like to make it my
full-time profession.

I have a 2006 Nissan Titan Crew Cab and a 2007 Skeeter ZX 225 with a 225
HP Yamaha VMax HPDI.

I am friendly, easy-going, educated. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil
Engineering and another Bachelor's in Business and HR Management.

All I want is a chance to prove myself as to what I can do for my
potential sponsors, in exchange for financial assistance with the
tournaments.

For 2009 I plan on continuing to fish the National Guard Western
Division.

I know I can represent my potential sponsors in an ethical way
on-and-off the water. I always have a positive attitude,I am respectful
and 100% committed for my sport and my sponsors.

I have created a Business Plan describing how many impressions I can
generate with myself, my boat and truck package, the target market and
overall what I can do for you to increase your customer base and ROI.

I would appreciate your feedback.

Respectfully,

Michael Ieletzky

Hi
My name is Jonny McGovern and I am 22 years old. My aim is to compete in the London 2012 Olympic Games in the Sailing discipline, in a boat called a 470 which is the male double handed class.
At youth level I sailed a 420 which is a smaller boat than the 470, and I had great success winning the Bronze medal at the Youth ISAF World championships in 2004, which is also known as the Youth Olympics.
An average year in my campaign involves competing in the World and European championships, and completing a european circuit of events as well as events in the UK. I have comitted 100% to achieving my goal and I am currently seeking support in reaching my potential. I can offer business advertisment on my boat, and a a chance to try out an Olympic class boat for any co-operate days.

For any more information please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks
Jonny McGovern

Commissioner

Hi my name is Craig I am the Commissioner for the International Rock-It-Ball Federation. The sport is only 2 years old but we already have 6 new National Governing Bodies of sport (NGB), USA, England, Scotland, Denmark, UAE and India. I know that you want a local team so this is really a prompt for anyting you may want to do in the future.
We have a program called the Global Grass Roots Inclusion Program (GGRIP) we look for around £12,000 and then go into a country and a specific City put equipment into 10 schools qualify 20 coaches organise a tournament and set up an NGB.
The reason we are doing this is because we have been tipped for Olympic recognition in 2020 so have to have a number of countries playing by 2016 in order to be eligable.
Now a bit about the sport, Rock-It-Ball was invented by 3 guys from North Yorkshire it is played with an implement that is like a 2 ended Lacrosse stick the object of the game is to hit your opponent with a ball. The target is from the shoulders down to the feet and there are 2 teams if 5 on the court. The twist to it is that there are 5 balls on the court at any one time. Kids of all ages are clamming for this new and exciting sport which has been put into 800 schools across the UK by the Youth Sport Trust.
If you want any more information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hi, my name is Scott James and I am 15 years old. I race Aprilia RS125 motorcycles on the best circuits Britain including, Donington Park, Brands Hatch etc. The championship I am racing in at the moment is called the Aprilia RS125 Superteen Championship. At the beginning of this year, the Aprilia Superteen Championship was recognised as the top youth road racing championship in the world. At Mallory Park round 1, I was approached by a motorcycle racing team called, TAG Racing. The team's mechanic is from the British Supersport Triumph team. Towards the end of the year, if I am part of the team, they have offered me to test out a £50,000 Honda RS 125 GP bike. If I go well on the bike, they would like to enter me in the main British Superbike 125 Class next year! I would love an opportunity to be the next big British name in motorcycle racing. The price for the team to take me through this year and test me out on a British Superbike Spec. Honda RS 125 is £16,000. I am very disappointed because at the moment i have no sponsorship to help me out and now my Mum and Dad just cannot afford this payment. I would be ever so grateful to anybody who can help me out towards this payment to help me get through the ranks in motorcycle racing and hopefully be racing in the MotoGP or World Superbikes in a few years to come! Sponsors who help out with this payment will have they're business’s logo/name on my Race Leathers and Race Van. For big sponsorship even on the race bikes! This will be a great opportunity to advertise your business all over the country. Also all of my races this year will be on TV on the Motors TV channel. I get great press and media coverage in my local newspapers and on radio stations. If you can sponsor me you will have your business name mentioned in all press and media coverage. Any Sponsorship/Donations, however small, will help me on my journey to becoming the MotoGP World Champion!

Sheffield City Volleyball Club
We are writing on behalf of all the players and supporters of Sheffield City Volleyball Club. We are an amateur volleyball club based at All Saints School in Sheffield and we train 4 nights a week in order to compete at the highest level that we are able. This is in the National Volleyball League Division 1 - Sheffield have just been crowned National Champions for the first time in the clubs history, as detailed recently in the Sheffield Star.

Being an amateur Club means that all the success of the team has been funded by the players themselves. However the team now have a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for the Club as a whole (Men's, Women's and Recreational) by appearing on Sky Sports when they attempt to claim the league and cup double, facing London Malory in the National Cup Final at Ponds Forge on Saturday 18th April.

Being interested in sponsoring a sports club we are wondering if you are able to assist our cause in any way possible?

In return for your help we are able to offer you complimentary tickets for the Cup Final as well as the chance to have your company logo printed onto our team kit, which will be visible to all the viewers of Sky Sports. Furthermore, you may have the opportunity to purchase an advertising board that will be on display around the edge of the court.

If you feel you are able to help our Club go from strength to strength then please contact one of the following people for more information:

Gerry McArdle (Chairman) - 01246 554961 - info at sheffieldvc.org.uk
Keith Trenam (Head Coach) - 0114 2552476 - k.tranam at shu.ac.uk

Hi, I am currently treasurer of a Newcastle University Sailing Club, we are currently seeking sponsors for the forthcoming academic year, although North East based we travel to events regularly, competing in no less than 10 competitions this academic year, acheiving respectable results and even competing in the Brtish Open. Currently we field at least one, but up to two teams at events, but financial constraints result in us being limited to a certain number of entries. The team consists of 12 students, each of varying backgrounds and would definitely be a good marketing oppurtunity.

If this is an oppurtunity you may be interested in, send me a pm and I will email you back, unfortunately I cannot link my email address as I must have made 15 posts or more!

Phobia are a team from the UK that have now been together for over two years, with successes in every year they have been competing. They are now stepping up their training moving into the AAA category for 2009, competing with GB squad for the World Cup 2009.

Phobia are a relatively inexperienced team who are now in their forth season. Starting in the Rookie category, they took gold at the 2006 ESL Finals in Belgium and came first in the 2006 Rookie league, after attending all 3 UK grand prixs and the UK nationals. They continued this success in 2007 in the A category with Bronze at the ESL finals and second place in the UK League and in 2008 winning overall AA champions at the British Nationals.

The main goal for 2008 was to be selected as one of the 4 GB teams to take part in the world cup 2009. The BPA has a tradition of inviting the 3 top placing AAA teams at the UK nationals along with the AA league winners from the previous year. Phobia acheived this goal and continue to train with Amanda Kemp (Women’s World Champion, Airkix 2006) and Gary Beyer (ex Arizona Airspeed) in preparation for the world cup. Phobia have attend the UKSL meet at Weston and Hibaldstow this year and have taken Gold in both meets in AA (Senior) league. We have 1 more UKSL meet at Skydive Airkix and the British Nationals at Hibaldstow. We will then go to compete in the Czech Republic representing GB at the World Cup and also compete at the Eurpean Championships in September at Hibaldstow.

Phobia Are:

Graham Wilkins, Point
Laura Battarbee, Inside Centre
Richard Head, Outside Centre
Kate Morris, Tail

Phobia are now looking for sponsorship for their continued success. Phobia feel they are the perfect platform to promote companies and increase the profile of Rigging Innovations in the UK, which currently has only a tiny market share. This would be done by attending all of the UKSL meets, the UK nationals and ESL finals and World cup in 2009, along. These events normally have good coverage in the UK publication Skydive, The Mag. NSL website and the team works hard to get media coverage in local papers and local radio.

If you are interested please get in touch
