How to tell Google what areas we cover

Hi guys,

we offer service - free home collection for furniture. We rank well for "furniture collection" but not for local SEO example "furniture collection wimbledon". Can someone advice me how to tell google what areas do we cover so we can show up in results?

Make sure you use the word 'wimbledon' in your page titles, your contact page, about us page and in the content on the pages.

However, I searched and couldn't find you for anything at all. So you may be seeing personalised results.

Testimonials, blog posts, structured pages, maps and so on. It is possible but it's not a quick and easy fix. I could take many months before you see decent results.

You can also use your Google webmaster tools to indicate the area you cover.

Yes, I agree with Fisicx. Use the keyword you want to rank for as much as possible. Blogs are a really good one to get recognised by Google. Post blog posts regularly and make them interesting and fun to read.

At a quick Google search it appears that charities dominate your search term. I would go with the advice given but it will not be a quick fix.

Here's one more thing: Backlinks to your website have to use the keyword: furniture collection, so google will easyly understand your website
