well the obvious solution is google adwords.
who is your target market? find the most popular sites in that niche and buy some ad spaces there.
these will give you immediate traffic.
the other way to promote your site would be to create a blog and post articles related to your niche, and promote on social media sites, that's more a long term strategy.

ebay classified ads are free,

SEO (obviously had to sneak that one in there),

Adwords - just wait til Google post you a voucher and be very very very careful - it can cost an arm and a foot if not maintained properly,

Set up an affiliates scheme to encourage others to refer people, also set up as a dropshipper providing white label printing - you could even offer integrated ordering etc so someone could have their own printing website that links into yours and puts the order and payment in etc...

Good luck - it's a competitive market but a big one if you tackle it properly.

The power of social media should not be under estimated, whilst we spend little effort on this as our customer pipe is maxed out we do a lot of work for our clients to help promote on delicious, digg facebook etc.

A lot of our clients have received major press releases by showing a fruitful corporate responsibility. Getting involved with charities whilst being a very nice thing to do will often promote your business in a positive light.

Make sure your customer touchpoints engage your customer as word of mouth nearly always generates a far creater converstion to sales rate.

Ensure if you opt for paid services you are able to guage your customer response. Unterstanding your business discovery is the key to success.

    I never understand e-commerce entrepreneurs,

How can you build a store and then ask how to sell stuff?

Isn't it logical to FIRST make a research and figure out how can you compete and THEN spend time and money to build the store?

Why would you build a store if you don't know if you'll be able to make money with it?

How did you decide which features your store needs to have, which products you're going to include, how are you going to present them, what kind of call to actions you are going to use... if you don't know who your customers are and where will they come from?

    I just don't get it...

Considering the size of the competition there are no cheap and effective solutions (thet will bring you in any business). You are going to have to pay for your marketing just like everybody else.

And it's an appaling site. Whoever built it for your should be shot. I'd forget all about marketing for now and spend some time sorting out the dreadful ordering system. Did you know there are specialist printer website applications that do the job properly.
