.Set up a business, get an EORI (its a reference used in importing), order stuff, pay relevant duty and tax, stuff gets delivered.
Then selling it is up to you - labelling has to meet EU standards as do the items themselves.
For one shop I think you will struggle to absorb the shipping and importation costs whilst making adequate margin to build a business - you would do better to look for existing importers/wholesalers who are importing large volumes for distribution throughout the UK.
It is possible to ask these wholesalers to import specific items for you if required which will make your business a lot simpler.
Why don’t you just do what my local shop does and buy your stock from one of the many Asian wholesalers. Much easier way to do things. He gets all sorts of stuff I’ve never heard of which results in some interesting meals.
.
Thanks for responding. I do have a limited company. Would that be enough for applying EORI ? Or do I need a premise to do so?
can you shed som lights on the labelling please?
