Fairly sure I read somewhere that France is the biggest importer of Scotch Whisky, followed by India, so they already bay a lot, even with current tariffs.Check the tariffs
I seem to remember a commentary on the proposed trade deal with India saying that one of the big hope fors was a reduction in the tariff on whisky as it was huge to protect the domestice Indian distilleries.
If that is the case you are going to have to have a marketing campaign based on quality, pedigree and heritage not price and that might affect your sourcing
Didnt say they didnt - just changes how you sell doesnt it - if high tariff you need to push the high end heritage nature of your product so you can charge a premium price to cover the tariffsFairly sure I read somewhere that France is the biggest importer of Scotch Whisky, followed by India, so they already bay a lot, even with current tariffs.

The tarrifs are steep. 150% import tax for one among a lot of other taxes and expenses. I have an Indian partner who is doing all the numbers and legality side. So it all depends on what price i can source whisky in bulk.Check the tariffs

Try here for starters:I'd like to export to India but not sure where to start. Would I contact distilleries directly to get prices or what's the best way to get the cheapest wholesale prices?
