How to go about finding investors in the 18+ industry

I've been within this space for the past 3 years, and recently launched my own website specialising in a niche that no other company is currently covering aside from DIY and creator-dependent sources like Reddit. As of yet, I've been funding this whole project myself and would ideally like to grow my business with the help of investors. I understand that spaces like adult and gambling are extremely taboo and frowned upon in business-orientated spaces, but nevertheless good money makers, and I feel I present a real opportunity. Can anybody point me towards networking events, startup accelerator programmes that are adult-friendly or any recommendations for growth in this space. Currently, I've been getting the name out there attending conventions orientated around this kind of content, but would ideally like to talk to people from a range of sectors.

There will undoubtedly be investors who are interested in the legal side of the adult industry (probably a few in the less legal side too, but they won't promote themselves).

I doubt there are 'adult-specific' network or forums for investors, but i may be wrong

As a rule, the answer is to go where the industry is - starting with Soho see what's going on.

As ever, basic rules of investment apply - they are interested in the business of business, not just products or ideas.

@orvilina , you've been in the space for 3 years and mentioned funding the project yourself, but you say nothing about revenue and profit.

Over these three years, have you built a business that actually generating decent money?

Or is it the case that you're struggling to get the business stable and profitable, contrary to what you anticipated when you started the business, and are hoping that getting an investor will solve all your problems? I see a fair bit of that, unfortunately.

One more question: How much money do you need and what do you need it for? (Please. please, don't say "marketing"!)
