How to get website visitors from the UK?

Hey everyone,

I am part of a B2B portal for Nepalese businesses. Since there are quite a few Nepalese exporters registered on the website and the UK is a big market for them, I would like to know how I could possibly attract more UK buyers/importers to visit us.

Since this website has only been running for a little more than a year, we do not have big funds for marketing, so online marketing would be preferred. Any ideas?

Do you rank well on Google.co.uk? If not then maybe that's the problem.

However, looking at your site I'm not even sure what you are trying to achieve. Can't offer advice as reviews are only for full members.

I was going to say the same as @fisicx - how well are you ranking on Google in the UK and if the answer is not well then focus in that area

I used an Indian SEO company in the past for about one year, the Google ranking was unstable, in first few months, we were ranked on 2nd page or 1st page for some keywords, but after a Google upgrade, we suddenly dropped to after page 10. I guess the company used some "black hat" technics so we were punished by Google.

Since that, we dropped SEO tricks, and focus more on natural traffic. One thing I learned useful is Google likes original contents, so, try to put more original articles/blogs to your website and keep them actively updated, if you can keep doing for half year, I'm sure your ranking will be significantly advanced.

Also, I'd suggest you find an English writer to rewrite your contents, so UK visitors will be easier to quickly learn what your website is about.

What a load of cobblers. That's just not going to work. Popular UK based websites and bloggers are already inundated with requests for guest content. Nepalese products are not high on the list of desirable content.

You get more website visitors from UK, First your website/portal ranking on first page of Google.co.uk if it not rank on Google.co.uk first page then get help of experience SEO person or company. and also social media can help you for more visitors.

If your products are popular in UK market , suggest take your products to attend some trade shows in UK, I'm sure you will find customer .
