so for example if i was selling computer products and had a sub title on my site called computer protection, how could i add adverts to that page using adsense regarding computer protection to which then a user clicks and get redirected to a computer protection site?

Ive never used adsense before, is it as simple as copying the html address of a computer protection site and adding it onto the relevant page?

A bit confused how i can choose and organise the adverts into the right pages of my site?

Sorry if this may sound stupid its just im trying to learn how to use adsense to my advantage.

Thank you:D

Here's a good place to start: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/181947?hl=en

If you want to make adsense work for you then you have to do some work yourself. It took me about a week to get everything set up and optimised. Most of that time was just reading and testing.

thanks for the link,

I have looked on there before but its still un clear to how i can get the ads to show on the relevant pages, i have got to understand adsense abit more hense setting my website up to support adsense but its just the part of getting the ads i want and to get them on a sub item page regarding that specific niche.

for example my sites niche is computer products, so i have a sub item/title named computer protection where i plan to advertise computer protection services within that page and other pages regarding different categories of computer products ect ect.

Again sorry for so many questions but i am learning more about adsense its just im new to all this.

Thanks

You can't filter by page. All you can do is filter by keyword and Google makes the selection for you based on the page contents.

Best thing to do is get started. Sign up for an account and start playing. It's free so there is no cost to you if the wrong adds are displayed.

is there anyway of typing a companies url details in where i automatically accept thads from that site?

Thank you so much for your help!!

Nope.

Google chooses whose ads get displayed. You just get to choose the keywords.

Adwords and Adsense are two sides of the same coin, but they are different from each other. Adwords is for advertisers, Adsense is for publishers.

Companies use Adwords to get their adverts in front of people who are searching for things using certain keywords, or looking at content on a certain topic.

These adverts can either go into the search listings, or into the "google display network".

When you sign up to Adsense, as a website owner, you become part of the google display network, so Adwords adverts can appear in your site.

To use an offline equivalent - it's like you are a newspaper with a number of spaces for adverts, Google works as a broker to fill your spaces with the best possible adverts. The part of the process where they work with you is called Adsense, and the part of the process where they work with the advertisers is called Adwords.

Does that make sense?

I've in past put Adsense on html sites using the codes on the Adsense site. If your site is using Wordpress then there are 'easy to use' plugins that put the adverts on your site, done that for several of my sites.

Without knowing how your site is built difficult to give an answer.

Best Regards

Tune up your adverts.

+ Go to category settings and review low performing categories... I myself blocked all the cosmetic and "wow, housewife discovered this one trick to become thin for just $1...." no one clicks the latter as people know its a scam. You don't want poor performing adverts taking up valuable space. It also devalues your page.
+ Use the recommended ad sizes
+ Google uses contextual, interest based and a new interaction type of advert, for content ads - contextual means it determines the best ads by your website content (so make sure you have decent content), interest based is like "come back to my store" adverts (ebay, amazon, argos etc. all do them... displaying items you last looked at) and the interaction type is where you hover over an advert etc. that gets larger... the advertiser pays for this rather than per click
+ I wouldnt bother with Google Adsense for Search adverts... as they perform badly (well in my situation anyway) and you are not allowed to link directly to keywords or pre-populate search boxes.
+ Make sure your adverts are visible above the fold (i.e. without scrolling down) - they don't have to be but at least one above to convert well
+ Advert blockers are your worst nightmare

Each web page has a :
  • Page Title
  • Page Description
  • Keyword
If you are using Wordpress, then you need to install a plugin like All-in-SEO and then enter your Page Title, Page Description & Keyword/s in there. Also have the copy on your page keyword optimised.

Now the search engines will know that your page is about xxxx. Having said that, you will also find ads of your direct competitors popping up on your website !! If you wish to block them, you can do this from the Adsense interface.

Hope this helps.
