How the hell

Hello everybody. I was speaking to a friend earlier on the mobile we had a lad with us about 3 - 4 years ago and you never guess what he said to us he was going to go and start a business after we pranked him for year and played jokes on him ( Construction Game) He then got fed up with it and said ***** the lot of you we didn’t see him since but tonight my bricklaying partner saw him and he owns a property business now. I don’t understand when we had him on site with us we told him to do stuff and he always did them wrong. It doesn’t seem right he done all labouring work our monkey and now he drives a Porsche 911 a new one according to my partner. He didn’t seem very bright how can somebody go and start up a business from scratch like this. It feels like he’s done very well and us have stood still.? Has anybody else encountered anything like this

It's probably because he took massive action and learned from his mistakes so he wouldn't keep getting things wrong.
The stuff he couldn't do he recognised he couldn't so employed more competant people to do it.

I know a multi millionaire in my neck of woods who's dyslexic never stopped him though and he made his fortune in advertising.

just because he drives a 911 does actually make him successful.

If he was not terribly bright there is a chance he is spending money he doesn't have and the business is not really as successful as it outwardly looks.

On the other hand, he might be rubbish on site but a genuis with the marketing and money side, and sometimes that's what really counts.

I want to know what the fascination is amongst some about what car someone drives ... it means nothing!!

My father refused to put money in the car giants pockets by buying new cars, yet he could afford to buy half a dozen should he so have wished - so the car you drive CAN indicate how foolish you are!

Read Barthes then:

In `La nouvelle Citroën' (Barthes:
1970 p. 150-2) Barthes understands this perfectly and analyses the ways in which the car has become the very icon of France's modernization. He compares the car to a medieval cathedral: both are works produced by anonymous artists which enchant the masses.

As a good Marxist one knows this already tho'
