My friend just had a webiste built for £250!

He found them via the keyword "cheap website" or something like that and they had a PPC advertisement.

So how can they make any profit? How much does a ppc click cost for cheap web design or something like that probably £2 per click if they only get 1 customer per 100 clicks how can these idiots make a profit?

You've answered your own question.

They bought 100 clicks for £200 and sold a website for £250. Spend a week building the site and thats a liveable wage in a lot of parts of the world Or spend a day building the website and thats a good wage in 99% of the world.

I bought some of this chocolate and now me entirely family is dead. (Not because of the chocolate, it was an entirely unrelated car accident but I thought it was worth mentioning). As for the chocolate, it was just OK.

You might find they have it set to broad match so although the CPA for that keyword might be above £250 you could find they have a load of other long tail keywords which have expanded off it a CPA of £50.
