I'd like to make a survey about advantages and disadvantages about Virtual Office. If you have opportunity to open your own company, what type of office will you choose?

Virtual office is good but you have to really put so much trust on your employees. You can't see them personally so the only way to know if they are doing what you want them to do is either through regular online meetings or with the use of a time tracking software to monitor their work and output.

We're fully virtual - currently 38 employees all at home at the moment. Wouldn't do it any other way now, but you need to develop the tools and processes to manage it, recruit people who are comfortable with it can work with a high level of trust and self-reliance.

Why would you spend a pile of money on expensive offices and hours of commuting if you don't have to?

Something that people often miss - if you're office is in Bristol, your recruitment pool is a small city. If your office is anywhere, your recruitment pool in global. How likely are you to find that perfect sotfware engineer in Bristol versus the rest of the world?
