How do you increase your web traffic?

Hi Clare,

Just had a quick look at your site and the first thing I noticed was that there were very basic page titles. If you can, change the content within the <title> tags in your site code to better describe your service as search engines pay attention to the content of these. However, I notice your site is a template and they may not allow you to change these, I have a feeling they may be automatically generated by what you name the navigational buttons to the left on your page.

If this is the case, you will be unlikely to get many direct hits from search engines. My advice would be to get yourself listed on as many free directories as you can, to build up links to your site. Perhaps also at some point consider investing in a professionally designed site which is better optimised for search engines, or invest in some pay per click advertising such as with google adwords.

Hope this helps,

Sarah

How about a blog and/or writting articles for ezines and just put a little bit about you and your company on the end... its amazing how many more hits this generates. As for the blog idea, all it costs is a little bit of time to write some content and not only does it act as another way to get your brand out there, but if you link your main site from it, it acts as an inbound link, which is always a good thing.
