Hi All,

We are an established hot yoga company looking to grow our business.

We are looking to develop our own line of clothing under our brand. Whether this is from scratch or taking a product and branding it.

We have some key requirements with regards to the clothing.

Hope you can help.

Hi E&F,

I also run a Hot Yoga business, and have been down this path already. I strongly recommend you 'test the water' first by buying stock clothing and having them branded - there are business clothing suppliers who can give you a catalogue of manufacturers for you to choose the clothing from and then they will brand them for you - there are a number of options for this, from vinyl's to embroidery, it rather depends on how much you intend to sell them for.

Going straight to a manufacturer will require you to place an enormous order and that may not suit you to start with.

I also probably wouldn't try to compete directly with the likes of Lululemon or Sweaty Betty, so try to choose something niche. Good luck!

Thank you Nord20!

Do you have any contacts for any "business clothing suppliers" you may have used to get us down this road?

Like you said it will be difficult to compete with the like of Lululemon and Onzie; just seems there are not a lot of UK options available. Will be good to support a UK manufacturer then to import from the states.

Any advice would be great!

Thanks

I've found it easiest (and cheapest) to find a local supplier, as it negates postage costs which can be high when you're posting hundreds of items of clothing. If you google 'corporate leisurewear' you should find someone near you. It also helps build a relationship if you can meet them, in person and helps with going through the options if you can physically see and touch them.

Where are you based?

I can put you in touch with a UK distributor of female focussed patterned gym clothing if you like? It would be perfect for yoga but they only stock for the female market. PM me if you would like details, they can supply their clothing in quantity but I don't think they'll be any good for developing your own lines

I would suggest finding a local supplier, than also look into fulfilment services. That way you will have greater control on both the sourcing of your materials and processed orders, without over extending yourself with expensive overheads.
