Hi Squidgey,

You're going to be fairly limited with what you can do with freewebs.com. Do you know if you can run any scripts such as PHP, Perl or ASP?

On another note, the images down the right hand side of your site are *huge*. You should resize them offline rather than just use widht and height within your html.

Regards

i had a quick look in there terms and it says

If you would like to create your own programs, or would like to install custom CGI (Common Gateway Interface) -- A set of rules that describe how a Web Server communicates with another piece of software on the same machine, and how the other piece of software (the 'CGI program') talks to the web server. Any piece of software can be a CGI program if it handles input and output according to the CGI standard. Usually a CGI program is a small program that takes data from a web server and does something with it, like putting the content of a form into an e-mail message, or turning the data into a database query. CGI "scripts" are just scripts which use CGI. CGI is often confused with Perl, which is a programming language, while CGI is an interface to the server from a particular program. scripts, you can purchase the CGI service from the "Premium Services" page. The CGI service makes it possible to use Perl Practical Extraction and Reporting Language, a robust programming language frequently used for creating CGI programs on Web servers because it is faster than UNIX shell script programs, it can read and write binary files, and it can process very large files. and/or shell scripts to dynamically generate content for your website. Remember that the CGI service is only available to Advanced users.

We do not currently offer ASP Active Server Pages, Microsoft's technology to enables HTML pages to be dynamic and interactive by embedding scripts, i.e. either VBScript or JScript, Microsoft's alternative of JavaScript. Since the scripts in ASP pages (suffix .asp) are processed by the server, any browser can work with ASP pages regardless of its support for the scripting language used therein. An ASP Tutorial, ASP Developer Network, Lots of ASP Links., PHP Hypertext Preprocessor, an open source, server-side, HTML embedded scripting language used to create dynamic Web pages., FrontPage Extensions or MySQL An open source relational database management system that uses Structured Query Language (SQL). datasources on our servers. We do not plan to add these services in the near future. You can try http://www.domaindlx.com/ if you would like.

sorry for the length
what are my best options now apart from getting a new website unless anyone knows of a good free website provider where i can re start over again before i do too much to the one ive got :D

If you've a broadband connection you could run the site from home as it grows throu a free service such as hn.org. (This is how eBay started)
This is against the terms and conditions of most ISP's, also it is not a good idea if you don't know much about running a web server and want your site to be online so people can make purchases from your site.

When starting a new site uptime is very important as you need every visitor you can get.

I offer hosting from £5 per month, a couple of others on the forums offer it for a bit less. If you are planning to make money from this site £20 for a few months professional hosting would be a worthwhile investment.
