i have copied and pasted the code to add facebook page to website. I am not sure how to transfer it to website and how many pages does it come out on?

I also have amazon adverts at the side so dont know how to manage the facebook badge as well?

It really depends on how your website is setup.

Do you have a content management system or do you need to edit your websites source code (HTML) and upload via FTP?

Do you know if your site has a template which effects all pages - if it does then you can add the Facebook badge code to this and it will appear on all pages without you having to add the code to every page.

Hi Jane

It depends on your site - do you know if you have a content management system, or was your site written as static pages?

Do you have the login details to access your webhost?

For a dynamic site you should have an administrator login to your website that will let you access the content pages, that you can add the facebook code to. There will probably be an option to add it to the footer, or side positions so you only have to copy it into one file.

If your site is a static site then you will need to download your sites pages via your FTP account add the facebook code and upload them back to your live site. You may need to add the code to each page on your site.

PM me if you want someone to do it for you! :)

A quick look at your website doesn't reveal the CMS you are using, it doesn't appear to be either Joomla or Wordpress.

The link to the site developers is unavailable. Are they no longer around to give you advice?

Without knowing the CMS it is difficult to direct you, at a guess I would say you're on the right lines with Resources -> Manage reosurces. Can you see a list of the pages of your website? If yes then there should be some option to select and edit each page.

Templates are a set of files that control the look of your website, you can normally change templates to give your site a completely different appearance whilst maintaining your content.

no they are not around for any advice. I have now managed to delete the amazon adverts that were at the side. I thought i could just add the facebook code in their place and it would come out ok but it hasnt.

Think i better give it a rest now getting a headache keep trying. Thanks. Perhaps i will have another go next week. its modx by the way.

All you have to do is to copy and paste the code where you want the Fb badge to appear. If you are using a CMS, this is easier because you should be able to post the code for example in the sidebar editor and will appear on all pages.
