hi,
i'm trying to sort my first import, but before i can confirn if the price is right i need help with costs incurred from the point it lands at the uk port.
i am based in nottingham therefore i need approx costs for transporting from felix to notts. (is felix the best port for me?)

i also want to know how much duty i have to pay.

the goods are cotton rags in a 20ft container from the subcontinent.

Did you use a freight forwarder? They should be able to get it to you from door to door.

Not sure that an FF can work out if duty is applicable and if so at what %?

But anyway, you are right. Any FF should be able to quote on tpt.

DCP - who is arranging the freight from China - not the factory I hope - the FF you use to do this can also quote for the UK land tpt. And the FF will also advise you on the best port.
