A business analyst in a Web solution based company actually act as a liason between the client and technical team.

I am responsible for communicating the client requirements in the best way possible to the development team so that they can visualize what end product should look like....

I also help my clients to reach out for best technical solution as per their budget and project requirements.

My company offer web designs as well as website development in various technologies like PHP, Wordpress, Magento, DRUPAL, Joomla etc.

So, I suggest the best possible platform to cater Client's need in case they do not have any specific choice.

Another role is to pitch clients from various other sources...

In which case the term business analyst seems like a strange title for you to have.

I'm always surprised at the amount of companies from India, and also from mainland Europe who try to build a business selling to the UK, but don't take the opinion of someone UK based when working out their marketing plan. Almost every website I see from such companies has errors that immediately put off UK clients, but they never think to address the problem, probably because they never even find out the problem exists.

I think ill start doing marketing consultancy to overseas companies, wanting to sell to the UK. Just a few hours work could transform the results these companies get when targeting the UK market.

What would be the best way for me to contact decision makers in web development companies in India?

True, I agree....... You cannot sell the services until you know what the customers is looking for..

Your idea of offering marketing consultancy to overseas company sounds interesting. May be they you make some great clients across the globe.

I feel the best way would be to showcase and promote your website and blog emphasizing with adequate instances of knowing the taste of clients in a foreign country they are trying to pitch.

Moreover, you can also go for cold calling, or email marketing may also generate you leads...

You are more expert in this field than me, so you can make out an effective plan.

Share with me too, what are your plans for India... May be I could be of some help for it or could learn something from you...

Yes, I'm aware that i'm the expert, however, it would be foolish of me not to ask the opinion of someone such as yourself with first hand experience of working with overseas companies. Sometimes knowing the right person can achieve just as good a result as many hours work.
