Hello, my name is George, I am the co-founder of a distributed eCommerce startup based in Cyprus.

If I may shortly introduce the company (Plugora Ltd) I founded with my amazing team. As already mentioned, we developed a product by the name of plug&paid (plugnpaid), which is a hosted checkout cart solution that lets you easily turn any website into a shop. Users can generate buttons, links and widgets (which we have nicknamed 'plugs') that convert page visitors or social media followers into shoppers. Payments can be received through PayPal, Stripe and Bitpay. You do not need any coding experience to install our checkout cart solution on your website, and it is really as simple as copying and pasting a few lines of HTML in your source code. Alternatively, you can exchange links that redirect users to a full page cart to purchase your items from.

We have built this bit of software with simplicity in mind and for novice webmasters who do not know how to deal with setting up long-winded storefront solutions. Also, if you are a small scale seller we want you to look for alternatives to traditional solutions that tend to nickel and dime you with fees, and consider something as simple as a plug and play checkout cart which can enable peer-to-peer shopping without the middleman to chip away at your profits.

To conclude my introduction, I have been doing this eCommerce startup business for over 10 years now since graduating university in the UK, having previously launched, a now defunct online 'social' marketplace, and eBay store in the past myself. It is a pleasure to be part of this great community of eCommerce experts after having gone through a rough learning curve myself, and I look forward to continuing my startup journey in the eCommerce sphere together with your support and feedback. I hope to learn a little something from all of you on how I can grow my business and potential partnership ideas are always welcome.

Thank you for reading.
Kind regards,
George

Hello George and welcome, I do think you free service should allow more than one product, after all, who only sells one product? I know it is designed to get the person to upgrade but one product may not be enough to convince somebody to do so.

Building up your customers confidence by allowing more than one product may increase upgrades. I can't say for sure it will, but allowing only one product certainly would not encourage me (and I am sure many others) to use your service.

www.ecwid.com allows 10 free products and I think you should do the same.

Hi George and welcome to UKBF.

You need a demo people can see without having to login.

It may be an excellent system but unless you can show people what it looks like they aren't going to bother finding out.

And you need a Wordpress plugin. People will be much happier to use this than fiddle about with code. And Wordpress plugins are very lucrative. My own payment gateway plugin has earned me a bucket load of cash.

Hello bigbuzzbelfast,

Your feedback is very much appreciated. I had the same thought as well. The initial idea that me and the team had was that, since this is product is not targeted towards large scale sellers with a huge diversity of products, that 1 product in the free version would be sufficient to get a feel of what our service can do for you. Plus we are relatively cheap compared to our competitors and take no fees from your sale. Of course, and to be honest, that comes with its drawbacks by not having all the features the other more expensive competitors might offer, but that market for full-feature storefront solutions is not one we are aiming to capture. Therefore we figured that we could get away with just 1 product before a user decides to take the low risk upgrade at $4.79. Our customers are, for the most part at the moment, for example people who might have a single product to sell such as their latest music album or eBook. Somebody who runs a popular blog and every now and then runs a product promotion for someone else is one good use case example as well.

But I will discuss your point with the others and most likely up the number of free products as you suggested.

Thank you for the tip! If you do happen to sign-up, please PM your email address and I will gladly give you a "Supercharged" account for free to give it a spin :)

Hello fisicx,

Thank you for your feedback. The WP is in the works, and you are absolutely right about people not wanting to fiddle around with the code. However, we also do not feel like this point is necessarily a showstopper but are correct in thinking that it could be a negative factor for the very novice webmaster who gets scared the moment they see any kind of code.

As for the demo, we have one on the landing page under the section "Unleash your creativity", there is a small button which you can customise which says "Click Me". Once clicked that opens a demo of the checkout cart in a modal box.

However, I suppose your feedback is also pointing out that this is not very clear/visible to most page visitors. Possibly a section which directly describes this better or even a link to a demo page would be more suitable.

Thank you for the tip! If you do happen to sign-up, please PM your email address and I will gladly give you a "Supercharged" account for free to give it a spin :)

Nope, can't find the button. And I tried to read the documentation and the API info but everything is hidden behind a login.

The problem you have is there are already a huge number of single item payment systems. Wordpress for example is awash with free plugins. So I'm struggling to see what your USP is.

The Help section is on the footer of the landing page if you want to read some documentation.

You are correct in pointing out that there is quite an abundance of single item payment processors which does not make this venture any easier for us. This is true. But as you pointed out, they are only for single items. We can support an unlimited number of items in the paid version (and will likely support more than 1 in the free version as already suggested above).

Our integration is simple in which users must just follow a 4-step wizard to configure their carts, then copy and paste our system generated HTML snippet into their website's source code according to where they want their checkout "plug" (button, link or widget) to be placed on the page. The WP plugin using shortcodes is in the works.

The same checkout cart which you place on your WP blog (for example), can also be shared or placed on other websites. All you have to do is again just copy and paste the same HTML snippet on another website or generate the same cart but in the form of a link which you can share on forums or use it to setup your call-to-action button (Shop Now) on a Facebook page.

Furthermore, a lot of the payment solutions on offer in the plugin store seem to require some existing storefront solution template to begin with, such as Woocommerce or Bigcommerce. Also, the setup of these solutions is often long-winded requiring the user to setup API keys with their payment gateways first before they can accept payments. We do not require any of that, we handle linking your payment gateways just by logging into your account once. Additionally, our cart supports multiple payment gateways in one single cart which many others don't.

And finally, to complete my sales pitch, we have a very informative dashboard which shows you where all the plugs (checkout carts) are located on the web by scanning the URL, how many sales each plug has generated, number of views, sales etc. It is quite informative and you can build the design of plugs to match your website's existing.

So all those features are in one single low cost product. Not to say there are no drawbacks but these are just some of the unique selling points.

None of that comes across on the site. Can't do a website review as that's only for full members but it could be so much better.

As to your comment about API keys, this takes seconds to set up. I've got three Wordpress plugins that do pretty much the same as your product and none of the thousands of users have had any problems setting them up.

Thank you fisicx. Will make some changes to the Landing Page today which I hope will address some of your problems. As usual, the feedback is much appreciated.

Will make some changes to the Landing Page....
Every page is a landing page. Not everyone will land on the homepage. And expect a letter from the plugnpay lawyers soon - the names are too similar and they will claim you are passing off.

New Updates 04.09.2018

1. We now support recurring payments with Stripe. You can sell digital services using a weekly, monthly or yearly billing cycle.

2. In accordance with GDPR laws, we have also introduced many new cart features to manage the privacy and accessibility of your cart by setting regional restrictions and ways of managing data we/you collect from your buyers.

I look forward to your feedback and I am available here to support in case of any question.

Good day!
Kind regards,
George
