We get very heavy rain between 8.50am and 9.10am every weekday morning, and between 2.50pm and 3.10pm every weekday afternoon. Well, that's what it feels like.

Except today, it's turned to snow.

At the weekend i saw some poor bloke who was in the middle of building a timber framed house, only now, his house is widely scattered accross four fields! Poor sod!!

Unfortunately I live on the bank of a river, which floods for fun.

It was the closest its ever been since the local council fitted a new flood defence thingamajig.

It was only 1 foot off flooding, and the speed at which the water was going would have easily moved small trees and fences

Is this becoming a regular thing or what? That Land Rover I want may not be such a daft buy afterall :D

The river behind me went onto severe flood warning about 1 hour ago - I'm at work so I can't see what the river is doing.

Though when it flooded last time (remember the Great Carlisle Floods) my house didn't flood but was about 20 metres away from. We got a very big playing field between us and the river.
