Having Order Delivered to Courier

Had an email from a customer yesterday requesting a delivery to Malta. Turned it down as we no longer despatch to EU countries. Today she ordered and is having the item delivered to Intersped Logistics (UK) in Kent. Obviously they are forwarding it on for her but how does the paperwork and taxes etc work out for that one?

You charge normal UK vat ect
As far as your concerned the delivery address is in Kent and your only sending it there
Most large retailers get these types of orders everyday and the question never gets asked because computerised automization does not think ?

So basically, this is a good way of continuing with EU deliveries without getting caught up with all the new legislation? Think it's worth giving them a ring and getting some guide prices.

Not really because your customers won't order in this way as a rule it's only the odd one or two!

If you plan to sell direct into the EU you could speak to them but then you will be responsible for the normal export administration ect
