Has anyone used Wordpress Business Plan?

Hi all,
I'm considering signing up to Wordpress (com) Business Plan and alongside this using Gsuite for a custom business email. I'm a bit of a novice, so ideally I want to avoid self hosting. I have read some great reviews about the business plan and what it offers, however, as always with these things there's a stack of conflicting info too. Ideally, it would be helpful to hear from anyone that has used this plan and perhaps get a little feedback on whether they would recommend it.
Many thanks in advance.

I don't think you'll get many people commenting who are actual users, you'll get more people telling you that self-hosting is the best thing to do. Not because they make a living from sorting out the mess you'll get yourself into (although there may be a few?) but because it's what they do and it works for them.

I am assuming you want to go down this route because you don't want the hassle of self hosting, in which case it's a fair solution.

There are alternatives, such as managed WordPress hosting, for an additional cost that will perform better but are you really that bothered? Even then, you will still need to go through a learning curve to get up and running and still encounter problems along the way.

Like everything, you have to factor in your own time and if you are better off using that time more productively then a hands-off solution may be the best option?

I know how to change the brake pads on my car but I earn more than the mechanic who can do it better, so it doesn't make sense to get my hands dirty and lose money in the process.

I've used it twice (for clients). It's OK but nothing special. But it doesn't offer email which means you pay twice for something self hosting does for free.

Consider this. You could pay someone to set up the site for you for less than you will pay Wordpress and Gsuite. It will be as secure and offer all the things you get from the WP business plan plus a lot more.

If you want to use the WP Business Plan that's fine. But it's a lot of money for nothing special.
