Hello. I am a designer too and I agree with author. Very difficult to find customers, because competition is too high. To succeed in this busuness you need to work very hard, design must be outstanding and you need to create a name for yourself. I know many designers who get paid a lot, because of their name.

Anecdotally, alongside SEO these services feature as the topmost unsolicited email we get. To the point even a well written one (very few) is immediately going to be blocked, regrettably for OP it is an unwanted avalanche for a lot of us. I don't think email marketing therefore is ever going to yield much unless the database/mailshot is gigantic, we all get so many your eyes glaze over. I would suspect networking/referrals & recommendations is what gets the established designers business. As per other posters, I have 2-3 designers already we work with, all provide services at different qualities/price points. Also used Fiverr for the odd thing too. So much choice out there. Even aware of increasing number of businesses that outsource design to Phillipines for pennies, with genuine positive feedback too (in direct contrast to India).

Website reviews are only for business members. But as the OP hasn’t returned since the thread started I’m not they are even aware of recent posts.
