Google+

Hi all,

We have just started using Google+ as another method of advertising and connecting with potential customers. Has anyone had a experience of using this?

Thanks,

Dan

Google+ is a social network and not really a selling tool. Be careful that you don't directly use it in that way.

I tell my clients to treat their social network pages like a magazine where they provide tips, inspiration, images, videos, etc that highlights their products and will build their brand. You should not use them to sell directly because people will switch off.

Google+ will also improve you ranking if done in the right way. Google is starting to include social signals in it's algorithm and I should imagine Google+ is already included in some way.

.

Agreed, when you're posting on social media or writing blog posts write like a mentor, not a salesperson!

It seems that there is some confusion as to whether Google+ improves SEO (probably a question to be asked in the SEO section!) Perhaps someone could clarify?

If this is not the case, this has got be a major flaw for Google surely??
