Is anyone else having problems with Google automatically overriding your toolbar settings when you sign in to Google?

I assume there is something somewhere which I have ticked or not ticked that allows them to do this, anyone know where?

I thought Google overrode everything anyway.

The only way to stay relatively clean is to block as many of Google's cookies as possible.

I have complained about this many times, and have actually made an official complaint to my MP about them breaching my rights to privacy. Google are acting illegally more and more as each day passes. :(

It's not so much the privacy that annoys me, I'm resigned to that now and have separate PC's set up for separate things. (well it does annoy me, but that's another issue)

It's the tools settings changes that annoy me.
    i.e.
switching Quick Scroll on without me doing it, constantly switching Instant on when I don't want it, un-pinning the find pages in country button from my toolbar.

Trouble is I'm a creature of habit, I remove the toolbar everynow and then, but end up re-installing it again
