Might be a silly question but

When doing a google business profile what is the best / correct location to use if you offer a web based/delivered service to whole country ?

Technically if you are Online Only and don't make in-person contact during your stated opening times you shouldn't have a business profile.

Do you have a location that people can come to during opening hours, or do you provide a service where you go out to see people?

    See - https://support.google.com/business/answer/13762416

Everyone tends to ignore this though

As long as you have an address Google can verify you should be ok. I’ve had a profile for years and not had a problem.

It might not be very effective as a goggle listing as it wont be focusing on one place
Agreed. But it’s great for Google reviews and points mean prizes.

Yes and all clicks are good clicks as I explained to my commercial landlord who got a lot of nationwide attention for the wrong reasons a few years ago:) and it was nothing to do with interfering with sheep before anybody here starts ?????
