Google +1 button is it any good?

Hi all just a uick question the Google +1 button does can it help with ranking ans also since it's a javascript does it slow the loading time of a page?

As far as I understand, if you +1 a page, that page will rank higher in your own search results when you use Google (so your own search results are more tailored to your browsing history), but I don't know how much of an SEO impact it has otherwise - ie, when someone else is searching for keywords you are trying to rank for.

Google +1 has only been developed to compete with the 'Like' button, the likely hood is, it will only benefit companies when executed on a large scale. For the likes of the average webmaster it wont have any impact at all.

I think you are right. I tried this out the other day and +1'ed one page, which now has a better position in search results for this computer / google account only. Other computers / accounts will show the page on its regular position.

I see it taking a much more larger roll soon - general feel is that as it connects with your google account & Google Plus (more specificly) that if someone in your connections/networks +1 a page it will likly show up in your search results higher/more ofton. Crowdsource searching I think is the buzzword on it.

How much you take that as fact rather than hearsay is up to you though.

People are obviously interested in +1 though, my plus 1 checker has been used over 10,000 times now.

As +1 button will play major role for search engine ranking and one can get traffic with the +1 button as one share another site web page with that button and that site will get visit and thus it will get traffic.

I had 50 +1 sent to one of my sites the other day, no effect on rankings.

As if we get many likes then it does not mean then we get instant high rank. But when that particular topic for which we have receive those likes will be searched by people and at that time our site with the topic will be in top result as we have get the more traffic so search engine will consider that also and then give the result.
