Domain names are generally worth pennies. Value is added if it comes with a successful website.

There are umpteen places to sell a domain name. Why would you want to use godaddy?

Godaddy doesn’t hold anything. They are just the current registrar.

Nobody owns domain names. All you get is a license to use the name. You can transfer the license yourself or get a broker to do it for you.

But it’s worth very little unless you are selling an online business.

Same as @WaveJumper I have also used Sedo to buy and also sell domain names.
They never had any traffic. I purchased a domain name because I wanted that name and I have also sold a few domain names (with no traffic) and made a few bob doing so.
