Put together a PR /marketing plan to identify
    • Who are your potential customers and those who influence them
    • Why should they buy from you rather than your customers
    • What action do you want your customers to take as a result of your communications
    • What are the most effective communications you can use to reach your target audience within the budget, timeframes and expertise you have available
PR and marketing isn't a one size fits all solution to building your business.

So for example if you are offering music, sports or clothing aimed at young people you would use very different communciations tactics, than if you were running a campaigns aimed at say first time mums or the over 60's.

Business Link has lots of useful information on putting together a plan, and marketing and PR guides they also have free courses you can go on.

You can also look at Marketing Donut and www.cipr.co.uk

I guess, the party is on Google page 1 these days. Maybe even the top 5 listings.

    1) Find out what words or phrases people are searching for within your industry.

    2) Check how many hits those words got last month, or even beyond.
Google has a useful tool, but as I have not made 15 posts yet I cant post the link.

    3) Create an adwords campaign or organic seo campaign based on this info.

    Hope that helps
