Getting a VAT invoice when purchasing from Amazon marketplace.

We purchase quite a few one off items for our office via Amazon, for some of these items the supplier is Amazon themselves in which case we get the change to download a VAT invoice.

But allot of the items that are sold on Amazon are from 3rd party suppliers, in this instance most of the time we dont get sent a VAT invoice, and all we can download through Amazon's portal is a Order Summary. Short of going back through every purchase looking up who the seller was and calling / emailing them for a VAT invoice is there a way to get VAT invoices sent to us / available for download when buying through 3rd party suppliers ?

As far as I know, you have to request an invoice where you would otherwise be able to print one (were it amazon selling).

Tbh, this is a major issue on amazon now. We used to buy a lot on there but the difficulty and hassle with getting invoices means that we will pay more, elsewhere, since we can save time and hassle. They should have an option that you require vat invoices such that the sellers are automatically notified

You have to email and ask. Some just email straight back, some whinge about having to post it. Helps choose who to buy from once you know the complainers.
