If anyone out there has a complaint against any UK company can have their complaint answered promptly. Let me know which company you have a complaint against and I will certainly do my best to help!
I had my complaint against Virgin Media resolved within 4 days!

A lot of times a letter - especially to the corporate office rather than the franchise office - is much more effective than a telephone call. I've had several complaints resolved through letters that I couldn't get satisfaction with over the phone or even in person.

Franchised businesses such as Burger King are a bit difficult because you have to establish who the complaint is against.
If the complaint was against a private company, ie, utility company, there is a useful website which lists the e-mail addresses of the Chief Executive - you simply email your complaint directly to the Chief Exec who arranges for his/her PA to contact you to resolve complaint.
If you need an e-mail address of such a company, let me know and I'll see if I can assist

I had my complain against Virgin Media resolved in 5 days - 2 of those days were a weekend.

They then called up to check i was happy with the end result.
Maybe their complaints process is just really good compared to customer service/installation service and the complaints process with other companies.

Can i also say about your email the chief exec theory. I used to work for a bank who if you wrote/emailed them, it would get forwarded to the complaints team as normal.

Sorry to P on your parade, but have you just had a nice result and have now become an expert?

Hi thanks for your kind offer of trying to help, but after some research, I found the franchise I needed, and after lots and lots of follow up phone calls and emails, I eventually got a letter back with a cheque for £20, now considering that the meals cost £15 to start with, and the level of service and un-edable food was unacceptable, £5 for all the incovience is rubbish! I can not be bothered to take it further so will leave it there and just not go there when we need a quick bite to eat anymore!

I once sent a letter of complaint direct to the Chief Exec of Barclays. I made it quite humourous and it prompted him to ring me himself and we had about a half hour conversation. A couple bottles of wine then followed in the post.
