Well I am going to help with the management side more as they need help in that area and when talking to them whilst I was there last month they said I would be really useful in that area. But it would be great go with some extra idea on how they can raise some money. I already have some myself but would be great to see what ideas others have

Ok so they are called LIV village where they adopt and look after vulnerable children in parts of South Africa. As child abuse and abandonment is a huge problem. They rely heavly on volunteers to go out and help with the village.
So currently I have ideas such as looking at a set type of YouTubers, those with an older audience who will be able to help more with getting money to the village, and then those with a slightly younger audience to help get more people coming to the village to help volunteer. Then along side this they have some project they would want to be worked on so I was thinking these could be partly crowdfunded, with maybe the reward being one of their t-shirts or discounted visits to the village depending on the amounts donated.

My work in the charity sector has always been in the UK, so I don't know how transferable it would be to S.A. But I would look to developing sustainable income for the charity, projects that would benefit the village, young people and the charity.

Looking at levels of sustainability, growing edible crops, developing products for sale (by adding value to grown crops) would be one way of going.

Possibly with financial support via the earlier link or one of the larger charitable trust.

next year I will be popping out to South Africa to help a charity with fundraising. Does anyone have any tips, tricks and advice on how I can go about it.

I would think about starting the fundraising before you go out to South Africa. Look at building on things they are already doing, such as via their presence on Facebook. Think about the type of people and organisations that might be interested in helping them over here and how you can help things to cross-over between the two.
