Am i able to contact you at allHi Mek.
(Just for clarity, I work for a UK freight forwarder).
Freight rates from India to UK have remained higher than those for containers from China, but are definitely lower than they used to be.
I can help you with costs, but would need the below additional info:
1) What size of container do you need? A 20ft, 40ft, or 40ft HQ?
2) Where would be the delivery point in the UK?
3) What is the cargo? (Basically need to know a rough weight, and whether it would be classified as Hazardous or not)
As to recommendations, I would suggest contacting 3 freight forwarders who you have either heard of, or find through Google, and then discussing with each your requirements, and working with the one who seems to be a fair price (Not necessarily the lower, but "in the ballpark"), BUT most of all gives you confidence that they can handle your goods correctly and reliably.
Good luck!
