Hello. As I have mentioned previously I am looking to import from china a part container for amazon FBA . Considering using their global shipping programme as it seems like it would be easier, but wanted to get some quotes from other shopping vendors first - anyone got any recommendations please ? Also anything should watch out for when importing that I may have missed ?
Thanks

If you are planning on shipping a part load from China my recommendation would be to ensure you ask the supplier for a quote on FOB terms (and not C+F). This means you will be able to arrange the shipping in the UK. If the supplier arranges the shipping in China you will be charged very high handling charges once the cargo lands in the UK. If you are delivering stock to Amazon FBA you will need to ensure the goods are palletised and labelled in accordance with their requirements (they have lots of silly rules...). Pallet deliveries to Amazon have to be pre-booked. i'm not sure what type of goods you are planning to import but Amazon are currently only receiving in products in certain "essential" catagories. Hope this helps.
