Free video editing software

I'm setting up a YouTube fitness channel and I need a video editing software that is easy to use but I can make decent videos with.

I appreciate any advice at all.

Could you not just sign up for a trial period ?

Adobe do 30 days.

Windows Movie Maker can do basic editing, but much depends on what you are trying to achieve, a very basic edit or stills based shoot can be OK, but multi-camera, multi layered audio and video is out of the question.

Adobe Premiere is probably the best of the pro-domestic packages (assuming you dont want to go as far as Avid).

It's worth doing a search on Download.com for free packages and trying them out.

If you have a look at movie maker, download the older version (2.6) as it's more flexible.

Adobe premier. I can do one free if you send me the video footage . I like doing them.
