Free/cheap internet fax sending

Occasionally need to send fax. About 1 a month...

Dont really need the facility to recieve.

As such, Im after a free/pay per use fax service. Any recommendations?

There are some email to fax providers if the document you are stating with is already in electronic format, but most charge a monthly fee or have a minimum useage.

You would be far better finding a local shop that do a fax bureaux service - probably cost about £1 per page or just get a cheap second hand fax machine that you can plug into the phone line when you need to send one.

Yes, aware of email etc but I need to send an old fashioned fax.

Hmm. Never thought of buying a fax machine... Good idea.

Although we don't advertise the fact, you can send a fax from our system without having to buy a fax number using the fax to web product. You'd just pay 10p per page to send it.

For instance, some other services require £20 to be paid for up front? Bit much for me since I send about 1 fax a month.

The minimum you can put on the account is £5.

You can always make a few calls if you need to use it up

Can you still get winfax? You could use that and a modem.

(oddly enough, I was discussing why laptops still came with modems built in at lunch today)

Try Popfax.com, it's £ 3.20/month, with a local fax number in UK and unlimited reception. I think it's a really good deal for this price.
