Wait a minute ....... Here we have a German train, owned by a German company,
taking British goods to China ?
Didn't we possess British built trains once upon a time ?
Didn't we actually MAKE trains once ?
Taking British goods......30 containers of Whisky, soft drinks, vitamins, pharmaceuticals and baby products....etc. ..... to China.
WHAT FOR ?
Who actually sold these goods to Chinese buyers ?
.. or rather ..
did any Chinese actually buy these goods in advance ?
China manufactures all of these identical goods themselves......at 10% of our cost.
Who in China will be buying OUR goods, when they can make their own ... for peanuts ?
Note..no mention of any British made machinery, cars, electrical goods, going on the train.
Will the subsequent trains that leave the UK for China be empty, because no one bought anything ?
UK International Trade Minister Greg Hands said, adding that the rail link "shows the huge global demand for quality UK goods.”

When most countries can make their own goods, and cheaper than importing ours,
or if not, they buy direct from China, Hong Kong,Taiwan, Korea, Singapore.

Actually, the true reality is, that Greg Hands knows well, but does not want to mention,
that this train link is a very convenient transport solution for the Chinese to import even more Chinese goods into Britain, and Europe.....and faster than container ships....and more of.
All a serious danger of undercutting the few UK companies that are still left working.
