Hi Ladies and gents,

I have attempted 2 shopify stores (in quick succession) and i am finding the traffic i generate from Facebook adds is not converting in to sales. I know its only 2 days of advertising but i have had over 800 people to my store (in 24hrs) and not a single purchase.

I stopped my store to see if there were any problems with adding to cart etc. but there wasn't.

i have searched my product online and it is the cheapest price point and the website i created looks good (in my opinion) but still not a single purchase.

Is this common when starting dropshipping?

I am going to create another store now i have learned the process but i am worried that i could be doing something wrong.

Also, is there anywhere else i can find people into dropshipping so i can meet up and get some advice and real help?

Thank you.
Steve

Yes. Especially if your visitors are coming from facebook.

It's not about being cheapest, its about creating landing pages for the advert. You can't just use normal product pages, they have to be crafted to match the advert.

Depends on what you are selling? Something for £5 could be considered an impulse buy but £500 a considered purchase.

First click to purchase may be anywhere from 1 to 100 days, or more. So, to put it simply, you need to be measuring over a much longer timescale than 24 hours.

It's natural, starting with dropshipping is really difficult at first, believe me, I know. Starting a store and expecting to gain orders and traffic from Facebook ads is not a good idea. I would recommend you to try narrowing down your audience and focusing on them, try Instagram marketing methods as well. Lots of dropshipping stores fail at first before they start a successful one.
