Finding out where (exactly) a product is made and how to source suppliers.

Probably not. For example the product may contain a small plastic washer that could have been made anywhere in the world then shipped to a distributor who sold it to a company who assembled a component which ended up in china where the product go built. Supply chains are complicated.

    The internet is a good place to start. Try severalsourcing sites, such as global sources, alibaba etc.

    The problem you might find is several people claiming to be a manufacturer when they are just a person trying to sell the item.

    Or a generic product is made or assembled in more than one location (beer being one example of this).

    I had a friend try to source the parts to repair a discontinued product. He was chasing components all over the world.
