Faerie B

Jeez ... what is wrong with people ... the more transparent you are on the internet, the less people beleive you. I am suffering from Complex Post Traumatic Stress and Hypervigilance.

Because of the PTSD I have huge blanks about something that started on a forum but spilled out into real life all around me last year ... my psychologist knows I'm doing this and is probably even looking in right now.

I discuss it all with him. I am helping myself so please stop making such a fuss of all this and take what I say either as a giggle or not :p ... but please do not worry ... I'm fine :) ... there are real reasons in the real world why I don't wish to blog at the moment ;) x

I agree with Parthelan to an extent.

You do spend too much time on this forum, you appear to use it as a crutch.

Remember this, for all the self-proclaimed web and marketing gurus on here who haven't got a clue what they are talking about there are an equal number of self-proclaimed mental health professionals. The reality is that an online business forum (or any other casual forum) is not an appropriate place to seek help and advice on coping with mental illness.

Seek help from those who can help you. Your GP is always a good first port of call who acts as a gatekeeper to the various agencies out there that can help you. I know that it can take a lot of effort and patience to organise appointments with a CPN but it is still a much better way to spend your time instead of letting your spare time go to paranoid ideas of subterfuge.

People may or may not be PMing about you behind your back but they can only be doing it for one of two reasons. 1. They are genuinely concerned about you - why be annoyed about that? 2. They find it entertaining - in which case it reinforces my opinion that this isn't a suitable arena for you to get help.

Only you can help you, and the first step is turning off the computer and getting back in touch with the real world.

I'll miss you if you aren't around here any more but at the same time I'll be glad to see the back of you because it will mean you are doing something with your life.

I disagree with that. I don't believe that FB's seeks attention for the reasons that you suggest. Is there a craving for recognition or confirmation of existence? Perhaps, but I think I can just about understand the motivation behind it and I don't believe it is malicious.
