Experiences with Gem Wholesale?

Hi everyone,

I’m just getting into the world of e-commerce and recently found Gem Wholesale. I’ve read a lot about them and what they sell, and would be interested in purchasing some of their clearance/ex-display products (NOT their returns stuff - I’ve only heard bad things about that).

In reading a lot of their reviews, a lot of their negative ones say that they use fake reviews to skew Trustpilot in their favour so was wondering if anyone here had any experience buying their ex-display/clearance stuff and would mind giving me an honest review of the company.

I’m still doing research into it all, so am probably a few months of actually buying anything but just want to collect as much information about them as possible before I go any further into looking at how I could actually do this.

Any help/reviews would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Never used them myself, but I would recommend you visit them if serious and make contacts. Take a look around and get some assurance regarding quality etc.

Ask yourself, why will they give you the best stuff or deals when they have people who have been trading with them for years? These things take time.

Rather than researching a particular wholesaler it might be more productive to consider the zillion other people selling exactly the same products online (including Amazon of course) and how you hope to compete with them.

I bought returns from them 10+ years ago and remember it was a terrible experience and they completely fobbed me off. Obviously a long time ago now

Scam isn't a word I used or would use. Was a returns pallet that was clearly cherry picked which was claimed they didn't do. (It was very obvious it was though). Is what it is with these things.

Was supposed to be 5 mixed pallets.
Each pallet had one brand on them with a huge % of items broken. As well as a large (and I mean large) amount of the same product on some of them.

Again this was a LONG time ago. Chalked it up to a life lesson.
