I am under the impression that you can't expense a gym membership with a coworking space. However, it is about one 5th of the price of a co-working space, so I feel like it should be justifiable to file this as a tax deductible expense? If a co-working space is tax decidable, surely being able to get the same benefits for significantly less makes much more business sense? We have two full time directors, and no other employees. How likely is HMRC to accept my reasoning?
The only benefit that the coworking space provides is a printer (we don't print anything) and beer on tap. Although I am sure HMRC doesn't care, the gym seems like a much more reasonable addition than beer.
