EU Responsible Person - Looking for partner in the EU

From 21st July 2021 any brand that manufactures and sells goods to the EU, needs to have a responsible person based inside the EU. The same applies vice versa, any EU brand who wishes to sell goods to the UK needs to have a responsible person based inside the UK.

Obviously you can pay companies to do this for you. But to me it all seems a like more EU / UK bureacracy and a waste of money. As if we don't have enough to deal with Brexit already.

So I was thinking if anyone on here has a business based inside the EU who need a UK responsible person would be interested in doing a partnership deal. We are the responsible person for their business in the UK and they are the responsible person for us inside the EU.

Well we are based in Spain and run a gift shop and website. We buy from UK but have been moving to EU suppliers especially for chemical type products, even natural products that seem to be an issue.

I think some understanding of what “responsible person” means and implies would be helpful.
