Ok, I’ve registered a business and am a bit unsure. My business is in engineering, and I’m waiting to secure premises, as I will not be trading for 4 to 6 weeks. Do I need employer liability insurance now, or can it wait until I move into my premises? Three directors
Many thanks for any advice

If there are 3 directors you need employer's liability insurance now. @Frank the Insurance guy can help if you need details.

Hi @pertonn ,

https://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/hse40.pdf - Gov info on Employers Liability.

As @Newchodge says, you must have it now.

You may find it a little tricky to arrange, as you do not have premises yet, so may have to go with a "temporary" option in the short term - speak to an Independent Insurance Broker who can provide the best advise for your particular circumstances.

I'm happy to help - feel free to get in touch.
