Email marketing software?

We've just launched a new website, and until now we've just sold on eBay and Amazon.

We have about 50,000 unique email addresses stored from eBay customers, and I don't see anything wrong with sending a one-off email to these customers advertising our new website, considering that we're selling the same/similar products that they bought from our eBay store.

However, we've tried a few email marketing companies such as send in blue, but they have refused to allow us to use their services as none of the recipients had opted in to an email. Is there anyone else we can use?

That's your answer right there. If they haven't opted to receive email from you there isn't much you can do about it.

It's a problem, far from unsolvable though surely.

Not really. Those people gave you their email address in order to complete a purchase with ebay or amazon. They didn't give you permission to use it for anything else.

If you want to build an opt in email list you need to start from scratch.

Leaving the opt-in probelm aside, we've always used Mailchimp and found it to be very good.

I personally use mailchimp for marketing emails. Your problem is that not one of your customers has opted in to receive emails from you after the sale has been made. I have a templated email set up on mailchimp and I send this email to every customer who buys something from me with a bit of info about my business and the website. I never bother them again after that email. What I do do, is to include a link to a page where they can sign up to receive emails on the website if they wish. many dont.

Like others have said, you should really have to start again.

It's against ICANN regulations to do that and is essentially spam. If they haven't opted in to received a newsletter whether it be weekly or once off, don't send it.

Would it be against ICANN regulations to upload the email list to an ad campaign on social targeted at users with accounts matching those originally collected emails?

Welll I have used sendgrid...its quite effective, and it has google analytics...too
