EBAY Sales cost

As someone looking into Ebay sales. Is the standard charge 14% of the product cost. regardless of how much sale volume you sell ?

On a lot of items when I looked they would make double the profit I would from an item... is this normally the case ?

It depends what category you sell in as they all vary. Ours is 8.9%, we also get a 10% top rated seller discount on that.
