Further to my post on the public SEO forum I've come here as I've discovered something additional which wasn't covered by my new thread.

The duplicate content on this page does wave tiny red flags:

    https://www.inkjet.ie/inkjet/epson/stylus-series/stylus-d78.html

    In progress:
I'm writing SEO content to expand the current single line of text.
The development team are in the middle of:
    Changing the product URLs
Adding friendly Alt tags (being optimised by a script I believe)
Rewriting / renaming the company product names (currently a mix of numbers and letters)

This doesn't solve the repetition of the generic product descriptions though.

Am I right in thinking these are the ones that need unique content or am I over thinking the whole duplicate content issue now?

    Thanks guys and gals

    Hi there
Your content pages don't make a lot of sense to me. You are literally listing different products with almost the same descriptions, and when i click on the more details link it takes me to a product page which adds no further information to what I have already read. Go to amazon and search for ink cartridges. It will list a bunch of ink cartridges product which I assume are all very similar. The trick is to add some specificity to each product, only a couple of lines and people who want to find out more about it will click on a link where there will be able to see buyer reviews, prices, multiple images of the prodcut etc. You will then end up with unique content for each and everyone of your cartridges.
    Hope this helps

The whole site structure is wrong. You don't need any of that copy on the category pages. All you need is the list of cartridges and the buy it now button.

And the site design is yuk. Didn't like it at all and I wouldn't trust them. But you haven't asked for a review so not going to do one!

Some 80% of webology and the activities of webologists and general webness is done, using a small screen device - i.e. a mobile or tablet. Now try viewing your website on a mobile and get ready for a nasty shock!

Agreed. The product selection process doesn't need to involve repetition of selling points, as they're mostly the same. A drop-down accordion menu for product selection and a simple purchase now button would suffice.

I'd strip the site down and migrate onto a clean design template.
