Drop shipping from AliExpress

Hello everybody!
I'm newbie in drop shipping. Just want to know your's opinion about drop shipping from AliExpress. Is it so profitable as I read on internet?
And which platform would you prefer for your own: WooCommerce or Oberlo?
AliDropship WooCommerce plugin for WordPress looks very interesting with its one-time payment model.
Your thoughts guys?

I’d avoid Aliexpress. You have little control over the products, service and dispute resolution.

It’s got so that people now often avoid sellers shipping from China. Some research shows that people using eBay actively only ever buy from suppliers in the UK.

Expect to get some returns. Which you refund the buyer in full including the postage the buyer paid initially.
If its damaged or not as described then you also pay return costs.
Factor that into your pricing.

Oh and you may well be spending a lot on marketing too, getting your site noticed when thousands of others are offering the same products.

Dropshipping is not so much profitable as different risks and costs to you than buying in stock and trying to flog it.
As a retailer I'll make more from selling the same item I buy in wholesale than you will dropshipping it. However I'll spend a few hundred pounds buying it in first and have that money tied up in stock - you will get paid first before buying anything.

You won't know item remains in stock unless you keep a close daily eye on the site.

None of them. The business model is fundamentally flawed making the choice of any platform irrelevant.

1688 is a good choice which offers various products with cheap prices. The question is that you do not understand Chinese. Do not worry, a shopping agent will help you out. They can help you to buy and ship items to your customer's address which save you a lot of trouble.

I would sugest if you want to use Ali, just order small amounts from different suppliers and see what you get. Some are pretty good, depending on what you want to buy. Sometimes you get what you think and sometimes you get really bad stuff. Once you get a good supplier, make a permanent connection with him. Lots of people do good business with Aliexpress.

Just to chip in my two pence worth, and based on someone else's experience, not mine, he did plenty of research on better manufacturers who use Ali Express and selected only those he was happy to work with and had direct communication channels.

In the early days some goods shipped were not as they were supposed to be so he was able to resolve difficulties directly, I believe.

Yes it is a viable business model - many do this - but like any glossy brochure claims, it's NEVER as good as made out but not as bad as the doom merchants would have you believe.

Pretty much describes any business model. Including the ones classed as illegal by some governments.

Hi there Arthur,

Defintely AliDropship WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is definitely the best choice by far.
It choice as it automates and uploads products a lot easier. I use this plugin for all of my dropshipping sites.

You can give it a go yourself or as a suggestion if you take a look at
Quora and look for dropshipping Income this is the name of there website. You will see there site there. This is by no means anything but being helpful as I have purchased 5 sites from them in the last 2 years.
