I'm with Fasthost and my domain is ready for renewal shortly - is £6.90 +VAT a competitive rate?

I think 123-reg is cheaper for .co.uk ~£2.99+vat pa from memory. For .com it's better to use US register as they charge in USD and no VAT. Namecheap are USD9.99 pa for .com

If its £6.90 for 2 years then not much point in moving it, some registrars will charge you to move it away so end up costing you more.

That's not too bad, I use Daily who offer £5.90+VAT for 2 year .co.uk domain registrations.

You can't renew too soon to the renewal date as well.

Hi,

There are cheaper services but I fully recommend namecheap as compared to other domain name services they don't upsell you with crazy offers or related domain names.

Is it really such a big deal. It's under a tenner for a couple of years whoever you use so surely the argument is irrelevant.
