I've read this article:

I need to register for the UK and EU VAT MOSS scheme. That is OK but reading the business requirements here:

The requirements are pretty complex as you have to tailor your service to each EU member state which is impossible for a UK-based small service-orientated business that works solely online.

I must be missing something simple here. If someone could help me out, I would appreciate it.

MOSS doesn't exist anymore, you'll need to register for the Non-Union scheme under OSS in the EU. The scheme is a simplification for VAT reporting in the 27 member states... and it's not complex.

Sorry. I should have been more specific. I'm considering letting EU citizens subscribe to a service offered on a UK website. Ultimately the website will look to sell worldwide, but at the start, it will be solely UK-based (hardware-wise).
